I received a lot of questions about THIS DRESS that I posted on my Instastories over the weekend. I absolutely loved everything about this dress – the design was super flattering and the color was perfect for the season! My dress was in the color ‘pine’ (a dark green) and it’s available in 3 other colors here. I do recommend sizing up- I had to size up two sizes, from my regular size small to a size large.
I wore the dress to a ‘Black Tie Optional’ wedding in Athens, Georgia. I really debated how dressed up everyone would be and I was pleasantly surprised to find that most of the guests were dressed in Black Tie Attire. My dress was perfect – the tea-length cut was not too long and not too short. The hem kicked up when I walked and even twirled when I danced! I will never say ‘no’ to a dress with twirl! I paired the dress with these heels, this clutch, and similar earrings. I also love this dress, this velvet dress, and this jumpsuit for holiday events!
How cute was the Best Man and our sweet baby (baby only made a brief appearance at the reception for pictures and hugs)?! Chapel’s dress is a vintage find, but this and this are great options! Her bracelets are June + Penny and her bow is from Kait and Kids.
My Makeup Look:
Primer: Honest Co Everything Primer
Foundation: 100% Pure BB Cream in Aglow
Blush and Highlighter: 100% Pure Pretty Naked II Palette
Eyeshadow: Lily Lolo Pure Indulgence Palette
Mascara: 100% Pure Black Tea
Lips: 100% Pure Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick in Pink Canyon
In case you were wondering, I wore this skirt in navy, this top in navy, these earrings, similar shoes and similar jacket to the rehearsal dinner at LRG Provisions!

Our baby girl is here and she is just about the most scrumptious thing I have ever seen. It is still so hard to believe that she was in my belly! It’s all such a miracle.
As beautiful as the whole process is, pregnancy does not always seem so magical. Your body goes through SO much and there are a lot of hard days. It was really important to me to stay positive and grateful – getting pregnant in and of itself was a little process for us so I certainly was not going to let my discomfort steal my own celebration for what was happening inside of me.
Like most pregnant women, I could name more than a few things that were making me uncomfortable. My midwives were watching me closely because I was swelling so badly! I couldn’t fit into any shoes and sleep became really difficult. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I discovered the wonders of diffusing lavender essential oil. I had never diffused oils before and it would put me into a deep sleep every night. I still got up a few times to go to the bathroom, of course – but it was incredible to me how much the lavender oil helped! (I use Doterra Lavender Oil and diffuser.) Another sleep game changer was my Snoogle! Around 27 weeks, I suddenly started to experience changes in my sleep. I immediately ordered my Snoogle on Amazon Prime and it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I looked forward to my comfy little nest every night and I could not have survived Third Trimester without it! It’s also been helpful and doubled as a nursing pillow since Chapel was born. I can wrap the pillow completely around my body when I want to nurse in bed and both baby + I are comfortable. I would recommend this pillow to any pregnant woman!
It became really important for me to find ways to feel cute and put together with my expanding body. I have three favorite clothing pieces that I would buy over and over and over again. The first is my Bump Body Dress. I received so many compliments every time I wore it. It was seriously the most flattering maternity dress that I tried. It gave my whole body and belly the cutest little shape! ** Bump Body is offering my followers 20% OFF with the code ROSEWATER**
I purchased these Ingrid & Isabel Leggings from Peanuts Maternity + Kids in Santa Barbara. I absolutely lived in them. They have the belly support that I needed and somehow were completely flattering. I tried so many leggings and none came close to this pair! And since it was shorts weather during a majority of my pregnancy – I also wore these shorts very frequently. They were not-too-long, not-too-short, comfortable and cute!
Little pick-me-ups go a long way during pregnancy. I loved receiving the Ecocentric Mom Pregnancy Box every month. It’s a subscription box that is filled with clean products for me to try and usually a little something to help get ready for the new baby! I’m looking forward to getting the Mom + Baby box next! It’s such a great gift idea for the clean beauty and clean eating mom-to-be!
I’m so glad to have found some items to help to me to feel good during my pregnancy! It was certainly challenging at times, but I would do it all again in a heartbeat because it gave me the most precious gift!
I obsessed with this dress. It is a MUST for any expecting mama! Let’s be honest – maternity fashion is a struggle. It’s hard to find things that look good and feel comfortable. I receive so many compliments every time I wear this dress and I’m excited to offer my followers 20% OFF!!! Use code ROSEWATER when you purchase your Bump Body Dress. They also offer FREE SHIPPING AND RETURNS, making this closet staple less than $50!!
I love this dress because it is lightweight- so many other maternity dresses have thick fabric, making this mama extra hot in them! I also like that it has a high neck and I can wear a regular bra with it. It’s super flattering – like I said, I get tons of compliments. With just 5 weeks to go, I can use all the shape and comfort I can get!
I think I am going to order it in another color, I love it so much!
This August heat requires a little more maintenance than other times of the year. I have my fruit infused water on hand for swelling and an arsenal of skincare to prep my skin for Georgia’s fiery days.
For starters, I am using a cream exfoliator twice a week. I love this Beautycounter one because it nourishes my skin, while rubbing away any dry spots. I feel like I have a brand new face with each use! I use the Beautycounter Balancing Oil nightly – summer days can have my skin going from dry to extra oily/greasy, so this is a great oil! I use it generously and go to bed with a thick layer on my face!
I am LOVING this Biossance Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil. Sephora just picked up this brand, and rightly so! It is too good! The antioxidants are great for clogged pores and it cleanses well, without being too oily. I am only cleansing at night these days – trying to leave good oils on my skin to combat heat and dryness.
My Little Barn Apothecary obsession continues. This mask is getting some major use- it moisturizes and evens out my skin tone. I love how it smells too- I feel like I’m at the spa with each use. I usually don’t like masks because they get so tight and I have to put a lot of serums on after. This one does the opposite – it is moisturizing and glowy. I love it! I also recently picked up the Little Barn Apothecary Aloe + Rosewater Balancing Mist. It is a great skin prepper and pick-me-upper throughout the day. A summer must-have, in my book!
My never-fail RMS Coconut Cream is my year-round staple. I use it as a glowy, dewy moisturizer in the morning. It moisturizes, evens and makes my makeup go on super smooth. I don’t go anywhere without it.
To keep my skin glowy, I apply my True Natural Tropical Self Tan weekly. For those that have followed me for a while, you have seen me rave about this stuff. It gives a natural color and very little scent. Praise hands! I even feel comfortable applying it in the morning. I’ll usually scrub with the Dr. Federenko Sugar Scrub at night and apply my tanner after my shower in the morning. This sugar scrub is great – non greasy and super grainy to get all of dry spots!
I’ve had some questions lately about eye cream, so I thought I would share my tried-and-true products! Eye cream is especially helpful in the summer, when we may be a little dehydrated some days and have our dark shadows show up. To combat circles and fine lines, I first make sure I am drinking a lot of extra water (usually with lemon and cucumber). I apply my Beautycounter Rejeuvenating Eye Cream at night for moisture and in the morning, the 100% Pure miracle-worker – the Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream. Everyone I know that has tried this eye cream loves it! It smoothes, lightens circles and gives off a glow! I just love it! It sets my concealer really well too!
Best wishes for beating the heat! I have 5 weeks to go until baby and I am doing everything I can to stay cool, hydrated and glowy 😉

These are the products that came in my box – and going straight into my hospital bag!
- Gaffer & Child Hydrating Serum – this will be great to keep my face hydrated during my time at the hospital
- bee. maternal Calming Spray – I have already sprayed this on several times. The light, calming scent is amazing and I can imagine will come in handy during my hospital stay!
- Sincerely Different Scar and Stretch Salve – I have a couple of other stretch mark preventing products that I have been using daily, but I am excited to try another to prevent/lessen stretch marks!

So, I had to take a few weeks off from blogging and Instagram. I had SO much going on personally – between finishing up renovations on our home, moving in, hosting family, working full-time and just being pregnant in general – this little blog took a backseat. It was super tough for me to admit that I simply was out of steam. I have been hard on myself these past couple of weeks. “Other bloggers have a lot going on and still crank out posts, why can’t you?” So many of these ‘you don’t measure up’ thoughts have crept in. They could have consumed me. They could have made me push myself too hard. Or worse – quit. But instead, I decided to extend myself grace. I decided to give myself two weeks to focus on myself and my family. And really there’s no explanation needed. This post isn’t an excuse really – it’s to let you all know and to remind myself that we simply cannot do it all. That we are really only our best selves when we are operating from a healthy place – what ever that means for you individually.
‘Healthy’ for me is keeping a balance of my responsibilities and the things that I don’t have to do, but simply enjoy. And sometimes that means that I forget to take breaks. I forget to rest. With that being said, vacation simply could not come at a better time! Jonathan and I leave in two days for a Babymoon and I am so ready for it! I’ll leave the destination a mystery for a couple more days, but I’ll tell you one of the ways that we chose it is that we are flying to a continent that neither Jonathan nor I have visited! We are certainly in for an adventure. I’d be lying if I said I feel 100% confident taking such a big trip while pregnant. Pregnancy is so unpredictable each day, and while mine has been relatively easy- I certainly understand that no two days are the same. I have purchased a few things to take with me, to make me more comfortable while traveling. I’ll share more along the way, but here are just a few that I am excited about.
I was pretty set on purchasing a new pair of headphones. In-ear headphones and ear buds are incredibly uncomfortable to me for long periods of time. I can barely make it through a whole movie with headphones in my ears. I found these white and rosegold phones at a decent price, with great reviews. I really considered the Dr. Dre Beats in rosegold, but I couldn’t justify the price tag. These headphones have the look and price tag that I was looking for – and they are super comfortable!
One of my major concerns when traveling – pregnant or not – is water quality. As a general rule, most places outside of the US do not have the same water quality. I find myself searching out bottled water as often as possible. This 100% copper bottle will certainly help put my mind at ease. Especially since I am drinking so much more water during pregnancy, this copper bottle is my new must-have for traveling! Copper is a natural antimicrobial and antioxidant – it kills bacteria and has so many other health benefits!
I use a Sonicare toothbrush at home and I don’t like to take it with me because of the space and weight that it adds to my bag. I love this little battery operated toothbrush – it’s tiny, lightweight and gets the job done!
I am almost completely packed for our departure on Thursday night! I am looking forward to adventure and uninterrupted time spent with Jonathan! We hope to recharge and return home with lighter schedules! Stay tuned for more travel posts!!
