Mykonos wins the award for ‘Most Photogenic.’ I couldn’t stop snapping photos of the vibrant flowers that crawled up and hung from whitewashed architecture on every street. Every turn was just picture perfect. Jonathan and I broke away from the group for this destination because we had one thing in mind: BEACH.
In order to get from one side of Mykonos to the other, we decided to rent an ATV. Well, actually, I probably would have chosen the pale yellow Vespa if it were up to me. However, my husband likes to drive fast and a pumpkin orange ATV it was. We had such a fun time zipping around the island and finding our way to a beach.
Greece has always been at the top of my #travelgoals. I always wanted to see the hilly terrain that is covered in white and blue. I also had goals that included feta, olives, and baklava. Cuisine is a huge part of my love for that culture and everything we ate in Greece was so incredibly fresh + flavorful.
While in Athens, we had the chance to enjoy all of the flavors of Greece. At lunch, the entire family (16 people) was seated at a long outdoor table, under the flowers and vines. We lingered at the red + white checkered table with the sounds of a man on a guitar, picking classic Greek sounds. It was glorious. Especially, after a toasty morning visit to the Parthenon and Mars Hill.
